Our Sweet Blessings

November is Adoption Awareness Month. In honor of this special month, we wanted to post a few current pictures of our little miracles.  I hope that, at some point in time, I am able to begin blogging again because I do miss it.  However, I struggle to find time to dedicate to writing right now.  In time, I know I’ll return to blogging…until then, enjoy some pictures of our greatest blessings!!
I get tears in my eyes every time I think about how adoption has changed our lives. Over the past 5 1/2 years, we went from being a couple that wanted a child more than anything else in the world to now parenting three amazing, energetic and loving children! We are far from perfect and neither are they, but we honestly wouldn’t have it any other way. Our skin colors and DNA may not match, but I truly believe that these precious kiddos are right where they are supposed to be…in our very blessed family!
We could never begin to thank their birth families enough for giving them life and for helping us be the family that God intended us to be!

A few pictures from Jonah’s newborn photo shoot

When we found out about Jonah (I’ll blog more about the details soon), I knew that I wanted to get professional pictures done when he came home.  We don’t typically do professional pictures, but I seriously LOVE a local photographer and had NO IDEA how to do pictures of the three of them.  I was blown away with how amazing this photographer was that I wanted to share a few of her pictures!!!!

The newest little man in our lives…

Image

Meet Jonah.   He is sweet, loving, fun, oh-so kissable and…he’s ours!

Yes, that’s right.  After sharing every little detail of our two previous adoptions on our blogs, we decided to fly “under the radar” so to speak with this adoption.   You’ll have to forgive us for keeping you in the dark (unless you are a Facebook friend of mine), but with domestic adoption you just never know what’s going to happen.  Until he was in our arms and the high risk period was up, it didn’t feel like it was the right time to blog about Jonah.  Once he was in our arms, miraculously, I was the mom to three wonderful children and you know how that goes…blogging fell by the wayside.

I’m going to write a separate post about how we were matched with Jonah’s birthmom and about our journey (or shall I say journeys) to bring him home.  It was truly an indescribable experience and it was soooooooo very different than our previous two adoptions.  But for now, I just wanted to let everyone in the bloggy universe know that he’s here and he’s so very, very loved!!!

Thank you all so very much for all your love and prayers on our very blessed journey to our third miracle!  We look forward to sharing so many wonderful stories with you!!!!!
